Dozenten Optometrie

Was ist ... "Optometrie"? Optometry is a health science focused on eye care and vision correction. It sits within medicine and health sciences but specializes in examining eyes, diagnosing vision problems, prescribing glasses or contact lenses, and managing certain eye diseases. Related fields include ophthalmology (medical eye doctor) and vision science (study of visual system). Subfields cover contact lenses, binocular vision (how both eyes work together), pediatric optometry (children's vision), and low vision rehabilitation.

✨ Eye see what you did there! Optometry is like the Swiss Army knife of eye care—glasses, contacts, vision tests, and even spotting early signs of eye diseases. Not quite a medical doctor but more than just a glasses shop clerk. If your eyes were a car, optometrists are the mechanics who tune the engine before it breaks down. Fun fact: The word 'optometry' literally means 'measure the eye,' so yes, they’re basically eye-measuring ninjas. 🥷👓
